i remembered watching sg idols finals on tv... the last time i watched sg idols was during the prelim rds. cus there were so many funny people 2 watch.. during the finals, there were flashbacks on how the 2 finalists performed previously n i couldn't believe myself... HOW DID SLY MANAGE 2 GET INTO FINALS!!!??? wtf were the judges thinking? he was totally out of key.. n the an jing he sang was better than THE ORIGINAL!? dun joke wif me man... sly was a total disaster... taufik was better, much better n that's y he managed to win by such a huge margin.
as i was watching tv, i realised taufik had an aura of superstardom n he had the charisma.. i saw no such thing from sylvester.. i knew sly was gonna lose that night. it was so obvious...
so what if they gave sly a contract? i dun tink they will expect much from him.. maybe it was because he was easier 2 market cus sly's a chinese n taufik's a malay... its not racism.. think its bcus they think sly would b an appeal 2 the chinese pop market.. they want appeal him to the chinese market?! sure, if he can sing! up down left right, i dun think sly had the appeal.. he just did not haf that superstar look on him. 4 words to describe what i think of him. : totally cannot make it. thats it... but maybe he gets lucky n gets the attention of the chinese pop market..
even so, compare him with stephanie sun, huang yida, stella n jj lin, u think he can be on par with them? i dun think so... they can sing, they've got good vocals, they have the charisma n all of which sly doesn't possess...
i won't call sly a loser, but i dun think it would be wise for sony bmg 2 sign the contract with him... but who knows what will happen, sly might get lucky... afterall he managed to get into the finals..
