thursday afternoon, 2.30pm started with prep for 28km route march. we took a bus to Kranji War Memorial with our field packs (10kg, our sergeants actually weighed them), rifles, helmet and vests. reached there at about 6+pm.
the ceremony started at about 9pm. where we paid respects to the heroes of WWII. and commanding officer laid the wreath. after that we did our warm ups for our march.
march started at 10+pm. we walked through lim chu kang, MOE camp, girl guides camp, Neo Tiew Crescent and then some army training area.
reached back to Pasir Laba Camp at 5.30am the following day. first time i sleep-walked. the Zzz monster attacked me at about 3am. so frigging tired already.
rested about 1 hour till 6.30am and went for parade in full battle order where they gave me my chevrons.
left the camp at 2pm. last time i'm booking out. i was posted to armour training institute. waved goodbye to those staying back for advanced course. kinda sad.
